Lips and Cheek Product Review
Let’s be real, the one reason why we all love ColourPop is for the price and quality of their products. Great quality products for cheap. In fact, they pride themselves on that; they’re also proud of being a cruelty-free brand as well, and if you’ve been following me for the past few month then you’ll know that I only ever use cruelty-free products so ColourPop is a favourite of mine.
So, starting with the shipping it wasn’t so long, but not so fast either for me. I’ve probably mentioned this before in other posts, but living in a country at the bottom of the world means that shipping is expensive. However, ColourPop does offer free shipping once you spend over a certain amount, and occasionally, they do provide free shipping with no minimum spending limit. So if you live out of the USA, shipping isn’t so bank-breaking. While the price for shipping isn’t so bad, again, if you live out of the USA, it may take a while for your order to reach you. Over the years, I’ve found that it usually takes approximately two weeks for products from USA to get to my doorstep (this varies depending on where you live).
I bought two lip products (one matte lipstick and one metallic lipstick) and two cheek products (two highlighters). Both the lipsticks cost $6 and both the highlighters cost $8 (as I said, this brand is very good for your wallet). I’m not sure if the products are still in stock, however, ColourPop has a very wide range of products so I’m sure if there is something you want you’ll find it there. I also want to add that they have a wide range in shade as well, so no matter what your skin tone is, you will (hopefully) find a shade that you like.
The first matte lipstick I bought (“Little Weapon”) was a dark-neon kind of red, which dried down to a dark vampy red. So, don’t worry if the colour in the tube looks slightly different than the swatch! From what I understand it is perfectly normal and is just the result of the product being exposed to air. Now, while it was a matte lipstick, I found that it was not so drying on the lips and was pretty comfortable to wear for long periods of time. However, I do want to add that I wore a little bit of lip balm before I put on the lipstick.
The second lipstick I bought was a metallic lipstick (“PYT”). It is a bronze-gold shade, and while it looks gorgeous as a topper on another lipstick colour, on its own I found that it clashed with my skin tone. I do want to add, however, that it was extremely pigmented. Both the lipsticks had a lot of pigment and overall, the lipsticks were a good buy.
The two highlighters (“Iced” and “Candyman”) were both a shade of brown-bronze which suited my skin tone perfectly. They are my favourite products for the every day, no-makeup makeup look. Both of the highlighters give off a very subtle glow on the skin, but after using them both for a long while now, I’ve found that they are buildable and can be very blinding if you take the time to work on it. After some experimenting as well I found that the shades are also great colours to put on top of some lipsticks for a lovely shine as well.
To conclude this extremely short review (sorry!), overall, I love these products, they all look good, feel good on the face and suit all skin shades!

I feel like the only one on the planet who hasn’t experienced the colorpop universe, and I feel like I’m robbing myself of so much awesomeness!

Diffentely try them out if you can! I’ve noticed that since they have such a huge shade range, you can easily find a dupe from other brands as well.
