Project Pan Anoucenment

Since it’s a new year, I thought of making it a goal of finishing off some of my older makeup products. Since my makeup wishlist is getting longer and longer as the months go by, I think it’s time I sort out my makeup routine and finish off some old products and bring in some new products. Especially, since some of my older products will most likely expire soon.

So, for those who don’t know, project pan is essentially a trend where the goal is to hit pan i.e finish makeup products. The whole idea was to emphasise how much product there is and that it actually does take a while to finish makeup products, hence why buying so much makeup isn’t necessarily a good idea. As I mentioned, it’s a new year and there are some products I would absolutely love to be able to finish this year! So, these will be the products I attempt to hit pan on for 2021:

First, I really want to be able to finish my Mecca Maxima Skin Halo Diamond Dust in the shade Solid Gold. This is a powder highlight that I initially wasn’t going to buy. Originally, I wanted this same product but in rose gold, but either there wasn’t any rose gold shade in stock or they didn’t have rose gold, to begin with (I don’t remember). Either way, this is a super powdery highlight and I don’t use it very often because there is A LOT of fall out. It’s just a mess using it. But, it does give me a really gorgeous glow, so I am determined to hit pan on this.

The next two products are both from the same brand. First, it is the Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick in the shade Spanked. This has been my go-to lipstick for the last two years, but with lockdown last year, I haven’t had many opportunities to go out so I haven’t been using this lipstick as much. I have used this a lot already, so I am almost done with it. I have about two other lipsticks in this same shade so after I finish this specific lipstick I will most likely try and use up my dupes of this shade next.

Next is the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer in the original rose gold Fenty Glow shade is the last product I will be including in my project pan. This lipgloss has been my favourite lip gloss since I bought it back when Fenty Beauty first launched. I am also almost done with this lip gloss, but like the other products mentioned above… I bought spares. This time, I bought spares in different shades but… yeah… can you see a pattern here? Anyways, once I finish this product I will include another lipgloss into my project pan, until then I think this could be one of the first products I complete this year.

The next product is actually my very first lipstick, that I ever bought and that is the MAC Matte Lipstick in the shade Diva. When I bought my first lipstick, I loved the shade so much that I went and bought spares. This is one of my spares that I truly forgot about. Since MAC isn’t cruelty-free I don’t find myself reaching for this (of course I bought this before I learned about what is and is not cruelty-free). But, it is a shade I still love and I am almost finished with this spare, so I think I can finish this as well. (I have one more spare in this shade as well, so I’ll work to finish that one next most likely).

I know I only have four products I am determined to finish this year, but I don’t have a lot of products I want to finish. Thanks to my minimalistic makeup shopping habits I don’t have a lot of makeup, to begin with. Which is good but then the down side is that I do have a lot of older products I need to try and get rid of. But, I will most probably add more products to my project pan as the year goes on.
